Taking a moment to send out big Thank you for feedback from members who are already participating in the eMoomba VeriServe network.

Some folks were wondering about our funding, and to date we are self-funded, and have never taken a single dollar from investors. Only a handful sites out there are operating without any venture or investor money … we were neither trying to court, nor avoid investors; it just happened to be our motivation to focus on YOU. We are committed to bringing intelligence to the tedious processes involved in the hiring cycle.

Few things we wanted to make sure were:
a) build meaningful process flow from the ground-up (yes we know, job sites say that but the users will know the difference very soon what we mean by this, and how it will help them throughout their lives)
b) the services would appeal in both good times as well as bad (hey, we want to stand by your side, and share your pain and successes)
c) focus on tools first that really makes a difference (i.e., don’t focus on making money, since that will eventually follow if we are really taking care of Employee/Employer/College needs)
d) address the need to protect and safeguard the efforts of workforce
e) provide a site to facilitate employees and employers to discover each other without penalties (future article)
f) enrich the interactions before, during and after the hiring/termination cycles, and be in control of the information exchanges

Now, building a network like this takes patience, perseverance and commitment regardless of the monetary outcome, and we did not want to rush to market to be yet another “me too” kind of site; that would be a disservice to workforce looking for something that not only stands out from the rest of the market, but also equally important protects everything that they have worked so hard. To that end, we decided to deploy our offerings, and build momentum virally through all your participation.
